The word hirer being to the owner (TowTal Touring Caravan Hire) The word hiree being the (customer) Rates(see "Caravans" for current rates) All rates shown include G.S.T and state taxes. A deposit of 25 % of the total hire is required at time of booking to secure dates. A $600 security bond is required, which is fully refundable, subject to the terms and conditions of hire. A credit card is required for this. All caravans/campers are fully comprehensively insuranced and fees for the cost of insurance are included in the cost of hire. An excess,should an accident occur is payable to TowTal Touring Pty Ltd, this amount is $3000.00. These amounts can be fully covered by obtaining Domestic Travel insurance. Please contact us for a list of applicable companies. PaymentsThe total hire is to be paid on departure. We accept cash, cheque, EFTPOS, Visa or Mastercard. CancellationsA cancelation fee of 25% of the total hire is applicable for cancelations in peak season, within three weeks of the booking date, unless otherwise discussed or agreed to by Towtal Touring Caravan Hire. Early returns for whatever reason are not refundable. There will be no refund of deposits paid for a no show or cancelation on the day Hire PeriodsOur minimum hire periods are one week during school holidays, unless otherwise agreed to by Towtal Touring Caravan Hire and subject to availablity. Long weekend hire of 3 days minimum is subject to availability in low season only. CleaningThe hire van is to be returned to the hirer TowTal Touring Caravan Hire in a 'clean' and tidy condition, taking into account internal packing procedures to avoid damage to inclusions. Failure to do so will incur a charge against your bond. If the Camper Van/Caravan is not cleaned to a satisfactory condition, a cleaning fee will be deducted from your bond at a rate of $60.00 per hour or a maximum of $240.00. (TowTal Touring Caravan Hire reserves the right to deduct the relevant cleaning fee from the bond if deemed necessary). Late ReturnsLate returns are charged at $160 per day for camper trailer and $250 per day for discovery pop top and or loss of bond unless previously arranged and agreed by both the hirer and hiree 48 hours prior to completion of hire period. SmokingSmoking is definitely not permitted in vans. Van must not be subjected to camp fire smoke. PetsPets are not permitted inside van. Accidents or BreakdownsShould an accident occur, notify the hirer (TowTal Touring Caravan Hire) ASAP and C.I.L Insurance. A copy of the policy is inside your manual. It is the hirees responsibility to report any accident or incident to the police and obtain a full report. This includes theft of a camper trailer/caravan. If there is an accident involving any other vehicle the hiree must obtain the following details: Make and model of other vehicles involved. The full name and address and drivers license number of persons involved. Name and address of any witnesses present. It is the hirees responsibility to ensure that the camper trailer/caravan is secure and safe from further damage whilst repairs are taking place. Any malicious damage to the camper trailer/caravan caused by the hiree shall be repaired at the hirees expense. This includes any fees incurred by the hirer (TowTal Touring Caravan Hire) whilst recovering monies for either replacement or repair of damage caused by the hiree. Any damage to the tyres and rims, except for fair wear and tear, will be at the cost of the hiree. The hiree agrees that the hirer (TowTal Touring Caravan Hire) shall not be liable or accountable for any costs due to inconvenience, theft of any of the equipment or as a result of damage during the period of the hire including but not limited to; meals, flights, car hire, phone calls or any other costs incurred by the hiree. The hiree agrees that the hirer (TowTal Touring Caravan Hire) shall not be held accountable for any damages to persons and/or property in regards to the hirees use of the camper trailer/caravan. Damage During Hire PeriodAny damage occasioned outside wear and tear is to be effected by the hiree or the costs adjusted against the security bond. TowTal Touring Caravan Hire is to be notified if any damage has occured. Tyres, punctured, blown or shredded are to be replaced prior to returning. Any cost for damages above the bond amount will be met by the hiree. Vinyl flooring is easily damaged when goods are stored on the floor. Care must be taken to pack suitcases, eskys and the like to prevent sliding and tilting which may cause damage to timberwork or flooring. The hiree is responsible for the equipment that is hired and is not permitted to sub let the equipment to any other parties. AnnexesThese options are not insurable and, if hired, the total responsibility for them is with the hiree. The cost of repairs or replacement outside the bond is to be paid by the hiree. Care is to be taken in keeping the annex in a clean condition and free from stains. Stabilizers (level load hitch) and Mirror ExtendersThese items are supplied by the hirer at no additional charge if required. Ensure that your tow ball is free to have stabilizers fitted. Restricted AreasThe "Jayco Manual Handbook" describes accurately where the various types of vans can and cannot go. In short, "on road" means bitumen only other than dirt access roads to camping areas or national parks. Discretion and common sense would need to be applied here. "Off Road" means all major roads and sundry roads, dirt or bitumen, other than 4WD tracks labeled "4WD only". Roads excluded for caravans such as the Tanami Track, Gibb River Road, Canning Stock Route and Sturt Stoney Desert areas, should not be travelled with any caravan or camper trailer owned by Towtal Touring Caravan Hire. Caravans and Camper Trailers are not to be taken across swollen creeks or rivers regardless. Braking Systems & Electrical ConnectionsAll vans have electric brakes, and an override system if absolutely necessary. It is the hiree's responsibility to have an electric brake controller fitted to their vehicle. All vans have a standard seven pin flat plug. Loading and Vehicle compatibilitySpecs vary from tow bar manufacturers, vehicle manufacturers and road safely groups. We cannot hire to the owner of a vehicle that does not comply. We can assist with loading techniques but the ultimate responsibility is with the hiree. Driver QualificationsThe hiree and/or driver must be over the age of 25 years and hold a current full driver's licence issued in Australia. The hiree and/or driver must hold full comprehensive insurance for the tow vehicle. The hiree and/or driver must insure the towing vehicle is registered according to state laws. The hiree and/or driver agrees not to tow the Camper Trailer/Caravan whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The hiree and/or driver must obey all state and national road laws. The Driver shall be accountable for any damage or costs associated by failing to obey with these laws. The hiree and/or driver must not have been refused any motor vehicle insurance. The hiree and/or driver must not have been found guilty of any driving offences, including driving under the influence of drugs or over the legal limit of alcohol. Hire AgreementThe hiree by signing the agreement confirms and agrees that he/she has read the above terms and conditions and understands and agrees fully with these conditions. The hiree agrees that he/she is fully aware of the correct procedures for using all of the equipment supplied and that the equipment is in good working condition upon commencement of the hire period. The hiree agrees that the equipment will be used solely for its intended use |
